ESTHER PEARL WATSON PAINTS THE MULTINAUTS

Esther Pearl Watson took time out from painting pink UFOs to paint Tetra and The Multinauts. It's the best thing ever! It looks as though the Multinauts teleported to Garland, Texas and in the the teleportation process they were transformed into Esther characters.
OR OR OR....The Multinauts have teleported into a thrift store painting.
Either way you look at it, it's fantastic and I will NEVER sell it!

ESTHER PEARL WATSON ON T.V.

Esther Pearl Watson was recently interviewed on KERA television, a local channel in Texas, near her hometown. I really enjoyed watching the down home television style and hearing her talk so comfortably about her work. You should watch it too!

WORKAHOLICS ANNONYMOUS

On Friday, we threw in the towel for UNLOVABLE and said, "OK forget it! Let's not work on anything and for a few days, maybe even a week, maybe forever, and just have fun." An hour later, Sarah, Michael and I found ourselves putting together a puzzle that explained the inner workings of a computer. It went on for hours. It was nice because we had moments of conversation but for the most part, we we're silent. We called it quits when we realized a lot of the puzzle pieces we're missing.
By Sunday night, we jumped back on the project because we couldn't take not working on it anymore and when you're working on a film, having missing pieces is a fulfilling challenge. Not like a puzzle.

UNLOVABLE VOLUME 1

UNLOVABLE Volume 1, by the lovely Eshter Pearl Watson, is out now.
Published by Fantagraphics. Read it cover to cover !!
!!!FORGET BOYS!!!

Here is Esther and Christine doing some last looks on Leslie Hall, as we filmed her performing the Unlovable theme song for the film last week. Compare this studio image with the one below. This was easily one of the most hilarious days we have had so far whilst making Unlovable. Only because when us girls get together to make something, nothing can stop us, even a horrific situation. Now, I've lived in Hollywood almost my entire life, I know people are dodgy, I know people are trying really hard to MAKE IT and making it is hard to define. People will say & do anything. However I haven't been duped in a long time, so I couldn't help but stop and laugh. So here goes...Don't ever shoot at "GREEN SCREEN HOLLYWOOD" It was the worst studio I have ever been to in my life!! Here is the photo of the studio they advertise online:

Hmpf!! I don't know where they got that photo from because it's really a torn seamless and some home depot shop lights on the floor. When I asked for a fill card they gave me a bulletin board sized foam core with holes in it. There were wireless routers all over the ground and a guy who was majorly high on speed, sweating & wearing sunglasses telling me he was gonna "Run my shit through Final Cut Pro." I told him to pack up his laptop in a calm yet stern voice and said "I got tape man, it's cool."

Another great reason to roll with a comic book artist is, photos don't always show enough details. So here is Esther's drawing of our rotten situation:

Here is their website. They told me they shoot "all the big bands there" Yeah Right!! I think they shoot something else there. Beware: http://www.greenscreenhollywood.com

MOVIE IN THE MAKING

I took a month off, saw 15 movies in the theatre (none of them current releases), and got in some pool side leisure. Without getting too comfortable, I'm onto the next big project. This time starring Leslie Hall in her debut role as the world's greatest in love with love teenager, Tammy Pierce, in "Unlovable" based on the comic by Esther Pearl Watson. For the next few months we'll be working side by side to make Esther's vision come to life. This will be Telefantasy Studios first non-science fantasy production, but not to worry it will be magical nonetheless.
