50 artists were chosen by Polaroid and given a Polaroid GL10 printer with the freedom to create whatever came to mind and to give them a chance to explore the infinite number of ways technology can enable creative expression. The exhibition features a mix of artists which include Philip-Lorca diCocia, Norman Jean Roy, Jean Pigozzi, James Franco,Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), Chase Jarvis, Marylin Minter, Dabs Myla, Hilary Pecis, and myself.
I will debut 50 new works from a new series called BEING. All photographs were taken on a road trip visiting significant UFO sites across America created specifically for this project.
Made in Polaroid opens to the public on September 7 at Phillips de Pury & Company’s gallery at 450 West 15th Street in New York City, with works being auctioned on September 14 at Phillips de Pury & Company’s other gallery location on 450 Park Avenue.

The above video is a sample of the imagery and music that is part of the augmented reality piece commissioned for the Beck's Green Box Project. Please visit becks.com to download the application and to find and experience green boxes around the world.
A parallel dimension where space and time form a cosmic void midway between an analogue past and a digital future, PVT and video artist Jennifer Juniper Stratford transform reality into an otherworldly realm ruled by monolithic fantastical creatures. Sparkling colours and flashes of optical inspiration cast a spell around the four mythical characters, who the user will seen in a 3 dimensional space through The Green Box Project.
FROM BECKS ON THE GREEN BOX PROJECT
In the UK, Beck's have a 25-year history of supporting independent creative talent. Through our Art Label initiative we have promoted pioneering art and music, having sponsored artists such as Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst and Jeff Koons at the begining of their careers.
The Green Box Project marks the next stage of our contribution to the creative community. An endeavor that sees the brand continue to fund individuals who embody the spirit of independent thought.

Pearl C Hsiung makes paintings and video exploring metamorphic realities. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, she now lives and works in Los Angeles.
If you saw the Multinauts, she played the preppy outside the bathroom who was accused G1gs of taking a dump. She is actually kind in real life and a wonderful visionary. Help her fund her project!
Ill be her right hand lady helping her with camera and effects, so you know what to expect giving us a camera and few days in Yellowstone National Park.

Just about everyone in LA is talking about Prince's 21 Night Stand, a series of shows he is playing at the Los Angeles Forum with a mindblowing ticket price of $25. It's a must see show, not only to see Prince dance backwards in high heels, but to experience an all-soul revue in a defunct basketball stadium.
Is this the future?
Prince, you deserve much respect for creating such an experience. Even better is seeing all those talented women on stage. I like to imagine all the women who left inspired. Sheila E, of course, is the queen. I'll be spending the rest of my days on the dancefloor (and doing the dishes) trying to do her moves.

There is nothing I love more than a working class hero who overcomes all by uncovering that last bit of strength. Films that aced this genre include The Karate Kid, Rocky, Heavenly Bodies, Ice Castles, and now Dream to Believe.
Aside from the after-school special warmth of this film, every interlude in Dream to Believe is supported by a musical sequence that fires up the spirit in a musical genre I like to call "Power Diva".
Here is a sample of some of the lyrics you'll here while watching this riveting movie.
"Flying high got my feet off the ground. I feel love in the air and I know I've got to be there!"
"Run with my heart! I wont live on the edge of a heartbreak!"
"All Ive got is my desire, nothing can stand in my way!"
AND THE BONUS???
Young, sweet and new wave KEANU REEVES!!
Hey Keanu,I'll study with you anyday because you are the one!
The whole movie is on youtube. Watch it!!

Myron Krueger is an American computer artist who developed early interactive works. He is also considered to be one of the first generation virtual reality and augmented reality researchers.
He envisioned the art of interactivity, as opposed to art that happens to be interactive, by exploring the space between humans and computers. His focus lies in the possibilities of interaction itself, rather than on an art project, which is supposed to evoke some response in the user. Though his work was somewhat unheralded in mainstream VR thinking, which culminated the "goggles 'n gloves" archetype, his legacy has experienced greater interest as more recent technological advancements move toward unencumbered interactions.
In the video above, Myron Krueger presents his "Critter" and creativity machine at a technology and art conference at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 1986.

Apparently my gif powered blog is freaking some people out! I apologize if it does, but this is one of the last frontiers in the dataverse to embrace the gif.
Cat Solen told me that Mike Jittlov is the reason she started making movies and that his website is gif crazy just like mine. I had no idea!
Check it out: www.wizworld.com
Mike Jittlov is the genius behind the WIZARD OF SPEED AND TIME. Mr Jittlov thanks for the wizardry. Your life is a special effect!
